Anny

Hi, I’m Anny, I qualified as a NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor in 2011. I have since added to my qualification and am also an NCT Ante-Natal Practitioner. I have two children, one is an adult and my youngest is growing up fast. When my oldest was a baby I was asked by my Health Visitor if I’d like to become a Peer Supporter for the local breastfeeding group, and that is where my journey to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor started. I was a peer supporter in Worcestershire for around 6 years, also while I was training, and after, I attended breastfeeding support groups in Worcestershire to fit maternity bras.
I currently work as a Breastfeeding Counsellor at 2 groups in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, I have also worked a number of years on the NCT Feeding Line and 1-to-1 calls for The Gloucestershire Breastfeeding Support Network.
Like Amy, I too like keeping active and busy. I have a passion for keeping my breastfeeding knowledge up to date, and have seen many changes to the way we work over the years as research has greater informed our understanding of breastfeeding. I also have a thirst for knowledge in anything nutrition and well being, and I’m interested in, how holistically, what I learn to help my well being and lifestyle may help mothers in their feeding/parenting journey.
Amy

Hi, my name is Amy and I am an NCT trained Breastfeeding Counsellor. I live in Bishops Cleeve with my three lovely young children and I breastfed them all for varying amounts of time, my youngest I breastfed until he was 2 and a half. I trained with the NCT to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor in 2024 and I am passionate about supporting women to reach their feeding goals whatever they may be. I trained as a peer supporter with Gloucestershire Breastfeeding Supporters Network and have enjoyed doing this for five years, I volunteer at a group in Churchdown on a Wednesday morning. I have also undertaken the peer supporter training with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers. I also work three days a week within the Maternity services in Gloucester supporting women and families to give up smoking.
I like keeping active, meeting people and spending time with my children.
I am looking forward to meeting you and supporting you on your feeding journey.
